Sophie has two decades of professional services and consulting experience and is a globally-recognised thought leader on gender and climate action. Over the years, she has developed global content strategies, produced high-profile strategic content, and led the development of research-based insights for leaders across different industry sectors and geographies. At Kite Insights, Sophie and her team help organisations navigate, communicate and positively impact issue areas relevant to their business as well as our economies and societies at large - focusing on gender, climate and the ethical application of technology. Most recently, she has founded The Climate School - recognising the urgent need for companies to accelerate solutions to address climate change and its impact - through tools and resources to unlock climate-focused innovations at every level of the organisation.
Before founding Kite Insights, Sophie was the head of Global Thought Leadership and External Affairs for PwC. Before this, Sophie initiated, established, and led European Business Forum Ltd (EBF) as Executive Director, Member of the Board and Publisher.
In her work at Kite, she facilitates leaders’ reflections on how to incorporate social and environmental considerations in their strategies. She enjoys working at the intersection of planetary and human issues which tends to reveal the most promising opportunities for action and inclusion.
Sophie is originally from Belgium and lives in London with her husband and two children.

In 2001, Charles joined UCB (a CNS, immunology, and bone R&D-driven biopharma company). Among other responsibilities, he was Head of Global Business Development, General Manager of Austria and India, and managed International Major Markets Operations. He joined the Board of Tubize in 2011, the Board of UCB in 2012, and UCB’s Audit Committee in 2015. Charles worked for Merrill Lynch in London from 1996-2000 where he was Vice President of Equities Research, and then Vice President of New Derivatives, Europe.
Over the years, Charles has volunteered with several nonprofit organizations (UNHCR, MSF) and founded socially-driven nonprofit organizations (Toolbox Belgium and Toolbox India). He is a member of the Board of Mind & Life Europe, a nonprofit organization aimed at building bridges between contemplative and contemporary sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Brussels University and completed the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School. Until his 2016 move to India, Charles was Assistant Professor of social entrepreneurship at the Solvay Brussels School of Management and Economics at Brussels University.

Previously, Laurence Debroux held a number of executive positions in multinational companies. From 2015 to 2021 she was Executive Board Member and group Chief Financial Officer of Heineken N.V. From 2010 to 2015 she held the position of Executive Board Member and group Chief Administration and Finance Officer at JCDecaux. From 1996 to 2010 she held a number of positions at Sanofi Aventis (and Sanofi), including those of Chief Srategic Officer and Group Chief Financial Officer.
Her competences include global corporate leadership, strategy, finance, M&A, external innovation partnerships, human capital management, environmental, social and governance (ESG).
Laurence Debroux is a French national, born in July 1969. She holds a Master Degree from HEC Paris, France (1992).
